The interior of the Echo Ship was the only stage build for this film. Its purpose was to serve as a "key" for the entire Ship to be enabled to leave the Earth and return to space.
It was built out of foam which had been cut from 2d files and assembled. In the story it was located underground and with the use of Visual Effects the Ship emerged from underground in small pieces and then reassembled itself up in the Sky to complete the ship and then returned home to space.
